We are Sneinton C of E Primary school Council and we normally have our meetings on a Wednesday afternoon to discuss any school issues.
Ther are 12 of us in total, 6 boys and 6 girls starting from class 2 through to class 6, you have to be voted on to the school council and you are in it for a year.
Our main role in school is to listen to what the children want, we then take their concerns or issues to our meetings to talk them through and see if we can help to change things.
For instance if we need new playground equipment we could think of fundraising ideas to pay for it.
We also do things like go on trips, organise red nose day and when special visitors come into school, we get to show them around and talk to them.
It’s a lot of fun!!
