    Belonging, participation and flourishing.

At Sneinton St. Stephen's, we believe that every child should belong, participate and have the opportunity to flourish.

Our approach to SEND is rooted in our Christian vision and our commitment to inclusion. We work to understand each child's individual strengths and needs, remove barriers to learning and ensure they have the right support to learn, grow and participate fully in the life of our school.

    Supporting children with SEND

Supporting children with SEND is a shared responsibility across Sneinton St. Stephen's. All teachers are teachers of children with SEND, with our SENDCo providing specialist leadership, advice and coordination.

We aim to identify needs early and work closely with children and families to understand what support will make a difference. Where appropriate, we also work alongside external professionals and specialist services.

Support is regularly reviewed through an Assess, Plan, Do, Review approach. Families are involved in reviewing progress and planning next steps, while children's own views help us understand their strengths, experiences and what works best for them.

    Talk to us

If you have concerns about your child's learning, development or additional needs, please speak to your child's class teacher or our SENDCo. We encourage families to talk to us early so that we can work together to understand and respond to your child's needs.
