PE & Sports Premium
The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve PE, physical activity and sporting opportunities for children.
At Sneinton St. Stephen's, we use this funding to help children be active, develop their skills and experience a broad range of sports and physical activities.
How we use the funding
In 2024–25, Sneinton St. Stephen's received £17,800 in PE and Sport Premium funding.
The funding supported:
- free extracurricular sport and physical activity
- additional swimming and water-safety provision
- participation in inter-school competitions
- PE equipment and resources
- active travel and wider opportunities for children to be physically active.
We also targeted opportunities to increase participation for girls and disadvantaged children, including extracurricular activities, competitions and pupil leadership opportunities.
Our evaluation found that the funding had a positive impact on children's participation, physical activity and PE attainment, as well as supporting a broader range of sporting opportunities.
