Curriculum Implementation - Knowledge Progression Maps

At Sneinton C of E, we believe all children are a gift from God.

They are all special and should be encouraged to develop and grow in a nurturing environment, secure in the knowledge that they are cherished.

We are ambitious for every individual child and firmly believe that ALL children have a right to equal access to a broad, balanced and relevant education.

We will support all pupils to flourish, deepen their learning and be equipped with the skills for life-long learning.

EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

In our Early Years classes, children progress within a language rich environment which provides every available opportunity to use language, interact, take turns, share and talk.

The EYFS curriculum comprises seven areas of learning and development.
All areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected.

Parents and Carers

All class teachers share information about upcoming topics, as well as home learning projects that you can support your child with at home.

These can be accessed via Class Dojo for Parents/Carers in Year 1 - 6.

At the end of every week, our teachers in Foundation 1 and 2 share a 'Learning Round Up' video explaining learning that has happened that week, as well as providing some tips for continuing that learning at home.
These can be accessed using our Tapestry App for families.

If you have any questions about accessing Tapestry, please speak to Mrs Baldwin-Thorley, our EYFS Lead.

For Class Dojo, please speak to class teachers or our Mrs Walker, our Digital Lead.

Our knowledge curriculum and learning enrichment is celebrated in our weekly Merit Assembly and in our weekly newsletters.
