TRANSITION Y1 - Y6
At Sneinton C of E, we have always placed a lot of importance on supporting children with the transition to their next phase or year group.
Transition can bring lots of emotions and we believe that ALL our children benefit from our Summer Term transition focus, especially any children who may feel anxious about change.
| Four weeks before the end of the academic year The children’s new teacher will visit them in their current class and introduce themselves and share their favourite story.

| Three weeks before the end of the academic year The children will visit their new classroom with their new teaching staff for a transition activity.

| Three weeks before the end of the academic year Parents and Carers are invited to see the new classroom and meet the new teacher. If you have more than one child, the teacher will record their presentation and put it on Class Dojo. Please still visit the new classroom with your child and meet the teaching staff.

| Last two weeks before the end of the academic year Year 1 – 6 will move into their new classrooms with their new teaching staff for the final two weeks of the year.

TRANSITION EYFS
Transition activities for children in EYFS will be slightly more staggered. There will be a number of new parent/carer meetings for families and children to see the Foundation Unit and meet the team. We will provide stay and play dates for children.
All information, including key dates and activiyird will be posted to families.

We provide the following booklets to all parents/carers at the Open Evening to provide them with information about the next year.
